Why this Book?

You have completed the book review. You have chosen your book. ...but why? What drew you to this story or this particular book?

The theme of our "Senior Read" unit is the idea of "Windows and Mirrors". Would you say that this book acts as a window or mirror for you? No need to give specific reasons (as it may be personal) just let your fellow reader know how this book functions for you.

  1. I picked this book because it seemed really interesting to me. It seemed like a book that could keep my attention for a long period of time. It seems like a book that will always keep me on the edge of my chair wanting to read more of it. This is a window to wear I can see through someone else's shoes. And see what good things happened in their life and the tragic things that happened to.

  2. I picked this book because I want to take a step out of my comfort zone and read something that I usually don't. I am usually reading books about mystery or teen love. The cover of this book also caught my attention. The man standing behind the girl looks like he is going to be controlling or he is going to try and stop her from sharing something that he wants to keep a secret. For me this book is a window, I will be going into the characters places and feel what they go through/ gone through. Considering I haven't been in any of their places, I may not be able to understand as well. BUt I am going to do the best I can and read this book with an open mind. I'm hoping that I gain a lot from reading this book.

  3. I chose "Tradition" because I felt like it was the best option. The other books didn't peak my interest with the covers and short summaries. I think the books is both for me. Since the story focuses on two protagonists. I feel that I mirror one of them and the other is more like a window. The friendship between the two kids is something I can relate to despite only mirroring one of them. I just want to make the right choices and get out of school as soon as possible. I want to give myself more time before I decide on a college.
